Join us for engaging workshops every second Monday, designed to enhance your artistic skills and foster creativity among our members. Explore new techniques and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.
Open to all members and guests. Expert or not, there are plenty of opportunities to share your experience or to learn from others. Bring along your own materials, do your own thing or join in with the planned themes of the evening. Medium specified in workshop description is not compulsory.

Monthly Demonstrations
Attend our monthly demonstrations on the last Monday of each month, where experienced artists showcase their techniques. Gain insights and inspiration to elevate your own artistic journey.
| Jan 27th | Demo by well-known landscape artist Graham Webber who will be using oils to create a cityscape. |
| Feb 24th | Demo by pastel artist Dave Miles who will be drawing with pastels a chosen animal. |
| Mar 31st | Demo by landscape artist Susan Boddy, who will be paiting with watercolours a coastal scene. |
| Apr 28th | Demo by artist and author-illustrator Jon Lander who will be drawing lively cartoons. |
| May 19th | Demo by award-winning artist Lesley Lord who will be using colour pencils to draw a seal. |
| Jun 23rd | Demo by artist Mariya McAllister known for realistic acrylic paintings who will be painting an iris. |
| Jul 28th | Demo by watercolour artist Jan McManus who will be creating a scene of Venice with gondola. |
| Sep 29th | Demo by artist Steve Howell who will be painting with oils a vibrant city scene. |
| Oct 27th | AGM evening for members to share in the years progress have your say. The committee are always open to ideas and suggestions to enhance your experience within the society. Followed by an enjoyable, fun activity of participation. |
| Nov 24th | Social evening for all members and guests. The fun evening includes supper, mince pies and wine, usually ending with some light entertainment. Members who were winners of the monthly competitions are invited to bring a picture of their choice to be professionally critiqued an overall winner will be chosen. |
Annual General Meeting
Participate in our annual general meeting held on the 27th of October 2025, for members to share in the year’s progress have your say. The committee are always open to ideas and suggestions to enhance your experience within the society. Followed by an enjoyable, fun activity of participation.
Exhibitions
We organise a number of group exhibitions through out the year at established galleries in the Tendring district. There is usually a small hanging fee for each submitted painting.

Workshops are on every second Monday and demonstrations are on every last Monday of the month (exclusive of bank holidays).
